La Casita Tapas

**This December we’re supporting three local charities with our “charity dishes”! We’re supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Feed Leeds Homeless project and all proceeds from our charity dishes will go to these three causes. Ask a member of staff for more information or head to our Facebook page.**

Welcome to La Casita, the home of delicious Spanish Tapas. Based in the beautiful Yorkshire towns of Ilkley, Skipton and Boston Spa, enjoy a relaxed dining experience with us while tucking into all your favourite tapas dishes. You’ll also be spoilt for choice with a large selection of Spanish wines and beers.

Chef Simon Miller and Oliver Renton first opened the Ilkley restaurant in 2014, and since then La Casita has gone from strength to strength. As with most restaurants, the Coronavirus pandemic forced closure for the better half of 12 months and it was with this closure that La Casita found new ways to keep their faithful community eating tapas. A YouTube cooking channel and a cookbook full of 40 recipes in aid of charitable food redistributor FareShare swiftly followed showing that there was a huge appetite for people to recreate their wonderful tapas at home.

The lockdown cookbook went on to raise £3,000 for the charity, with the sale of just one cookbook providing 48 meals for those in need. As lockdown restrictions eased, Simon and his team were able to open up the restaurants again. Tapas to takeaway has remained a feature and new products are also being added to the range including Iberico Ham butter, chorizo jam and PX marmalade.

Simon appeared in the quarter-finals of MasterChef the professional in 2012 and has worked in kitchens alongside Marco Pierre White whom he thanks for showing him how to work properly in a kitchen. We hope you enjoy your visit to La Casita and thank you for supporting a local business.
